Simon working on a Wolseley Hornet Special

Simon Munday Past Car Services

I can offer a variety of skills, both mechanical and structural, welding and light panel work; re-commissioning and winter servicing, and offer a warm, friendly service at competitive rates. I’m always happy to discuss customers requirements.

I have been passionately involved with classic and vintage cars for most of my life. My family have owned many interesting vehicles, and used them as daily transport. I began working on them at an early age; even before I went to college to study motor engineering.

I should have been born in an earlier age, when vehicles such as these were the norm, but I have tried to maintain a close link with old machinery, with my Classic car business and my canal boat home with its vintage Kelvin diesel engine.

My first two cars I owned were SAAB two-stroke long noses; with three cylinders and triple carbs. Brilliant handling little cars and real head turners in the right circles.

After college I worked for a Bugatti specialist, Le Pur-Sang des Automobile which gave me a great introduction to superb motor engineering .

Over the fifteen years I have been established I have been privileged to drive, own and work on many of the finest motor vehicles ever made, including ; Bugatti, Maserati, Bristol, Gwynne 8, Wolseley Hornet Special, MG, Austin, Jaguar, Triumph, Lancia, several Alfas and of course, the ubiquitous Morris, to name but a few.

I would like to think that I will be able to add you to my list of happy customers, and look forward to meeting you and your " pride and joy "
